UK’s rising metal force Primitai announce the release of their new full-length album “Violence Of The Skies”, out on March 26, 2021!
Primitai’s album “Violence of The Skies” is a culmination of the growing achievements and team spirit of the band in recent years which saw their most extensive touring yet, conquering of new territories, and signing with Rock of Angels Records. With their increasing confidence the band has pushed their classic metal influenced sound to the boundaries with power and progressive metal, much like bands such as Savatage or Queensryche did upon taking the torch from Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. The sci-fi feel of the atmospheric synth and orchestral scoring complements the album’s space themed concept - a story about escaping the end of the world, seeking new victories and facing unknown dangers. Vocal recording, guitar recording, production and mixing by Tom Keech at Cedarfield Studios. Drum and bass guitar recording by Pete Miles at Middlefarm Studios. Guitar re-amping by Lasse Lammert at LSD Studio. Mastering by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. Album cover art by Stan W Decker. Photos by Andrew Rakkan.
Very Special Guests:
- Paul Quinn (Saxon) – guitar solo on “Put To The Sword”
- Tom Draper (formerly of Primitai, Carcass, Pounder) – guitar solo on “The Storm Kings”
- Mladen Pecovic – guitar solos 1 and 2 on “Warriors of Time”
- Vladimir Djedovic (The Tilt) – synth arrangement and keyboard solos on “Warriors of Time”

Primitai are a London based melodic heavy metal band walking the very thin line between old school heavy metal combined with a modern production. Their style is best described as cutting edge but with a retro flavour.
Primitai’s breakthrough came in 2010 upon release of their album THE LINE OF FIRE, which lead to UK tours and festivals including Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest, High Voltage and Wacken Cruise. Their 2013 album RISE AGAIN, mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom and featuring a guest appearance from Richie Faulkner (JUDAS PRIEST), pushed them higher to dates with SEPULTURA and SAXON, and praise from the biggest rock publications.
In 2015 the band went into studio to make NIGHT BRINGS INSANITY with production handled by Lasse Lammert (ALESTORM, GLORYHAMMER). The album was released in 2016, propelling them to headline shows across the UK, and slots with bands as diverse as HELL, SODOM and CRAZY LIXX.
The band upped the momentum with their 2018 album THE CALLING, produced once again by Lasse Lammert and with artwork by Claudio Bergamin (JUDAS PRIEST, BATTLE BEAST). This lead to their most extensive UK touring including a run with WOLF, and debuts in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Serbia and Croatia.
Primitai consistently landed on lineups with bands such as heavy metal legends RIOT, SATAN, EDGUY, DEATH ANGEL, FIREWIND, GRAND MAGUS as well as scene leaders like CAULDRON, BULLET and BURNING WITCHES. The band also had some brushes with the gods themselves (recording at Steve Harris’ studio) in addition to the guest solo from Richie Faulkner and support slot with Saxon.
